The Chanel J12 watch draws its inspiration from the J-Class yachts used in legendary regattas; a sporty aesthetic has been ingrained in its DNA since the very moment of its inception. The J12 timepiece is characterized by its monobloc case design—and this model is no exception—crafted from a single, solid block of matte black high-tech ceramic. Chanel’s high-tech ceramic boasts a hardness seven times that of steel; in the brand’s own words, it is "fearless of any challenge." Chanel polishes the ceramic surface using diamond powder, resulting in a tactile quality that is remarkably warm and smooth. The black steel base of the bezel is adorned with fine grooving, facilitating a better grip and smoother operation when rotating the bezel.

The central area of ​​the dial features a brushed finish, while the outer rim is adorned with circular graining that harmonizes with the bezel. The hands and indices are rhodium-plated and polished to a high sheen, exuding a strong metallic luster; the hands are also coated with luminescent material to ensure clear legibility even in dim lighting conditions. In addition to the classic black and white color scheme, the entire dial incorporates red accents, further enhancing the timepiece's sporty aesthetic.

The Chanel J12 Superleggera watch H11059 features a fan-shaped date window positioned between the 4 and 5 o'clock markers; its curvature aligns seamlessly with the circular dial, while a red arrow indicates the current date.
